We have just returned from the annual United Network Equipment Dealers Association (UNEDA) meeting in Las Vegas. Network Equipment dealers from across the globe met to discuss issues facing the network equipment market. Issues such as counterfeit equipment, and the validity of the used market.

Cisco Inspections for Smartnet - Myth?
Cisco would like for you to think that they will not support equipment that they don’t actually sell to you. This is something that they would like for you to believe and it is a tactic they use to persuade buyers of Cisco gear to buy from them only.

Network Consultants Find Value in Used Cisco Buyers
Today we had a network consultant call up and explain to us that he had been looking for used Cisco equipment buyers. He explained to us that he runs into excess equipment quite regularly as he is responsible for de-installing old equipment and replacing it with new gear.

Default Unlock Password on a Cisco CP-7960
A customer who purchased several Cisco CP-7960 IP Phones called today and asked how to unlock the phones in order to change the network settings. The customer was in the process of upgrading the software to the latest version of SCCP.

What are the default memory options on the Cisco SUP720?
We helped a customer today with the default memory configuration on the WS-SUP720 Supervisor Engine for the Catalyst 6500 series switch. The current default memory configuration is as follows:
