Is Teksavers an authorized Cisco partner/reseller? Teksavers is not affiliated with Cisco Systems, Inc. and is not a Certified Cisco Partner. This allows Teksavers the ability to source both NEW & USED Cisco hardware not available to Cisco partners. Used Cisco hardware goes through our re-certification process to ensure that you receive hardware that is fully functional and ready to install.
What can I expect when I buy used hardware? Used hardware purchased through Teksavers is re-certified by industry professionals to ensure that it is fully functional and will perform equal to new hardware. The hardware is scrutinized for any major cosmetic issues and only hardware that passes our 20 point inspection is made available for sale. As with any used hardware, minor cosmetic imperfections such as small scratches may be present but will not affect the functionality of the product.
What is Teksavers' return policy? You should not have to worry about making the wrong purchasing decision. This is why Teksavers will gladly accept your returns for any reason. If the return is for a failed/defective part, Teksavers reserves the right to exchange it with one of equal or greater value. Returns for any other reason are accepted but will be charged a 20% re-stocking fee. Customer is always responsible for return shipping charges.
Does Teksavers sell New hardware? Teksavers carries both NEW and USED I.T. hardware. As a matter of fact, Teksavers is able to source NEW hardware faster than most original hardware manufacturers (OEMs) and their distributors. It's not uncommon for an OEM to place your order on backorder status for an unacceptable period of time. If this has happened to you in the past, you owe it to yourself to give Teksavers a try.
What are the methods of payment that Teksavers accepts? Teksavers believes that online shopping should be easy. Teksavers accepts variors payment methods, including Credit Card (Amex, VISA, M/C), Paypal, Cashiers Check, Company Check and Credit Terms. Customers interested in applying for Credit Terms can fill out a credit application and fax it to the Teksavers Credit Department at (512) 233-2328. Credit Terms are subject to credit approval.
What is the difference between Re-Certified and Refurbished? Re-Certified hardware is inspected and certified to be in good working and physical condition by Teksavers product engineers. Refurbished hardware is hardware that has been re-certified by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and repackaged for resale. The 1 Year warranty included with Teksavers re-certified hardware outlasts the typical 3 Month (or less) warranty offered by manufacturers on refurbished products.
I am worried about counterfeit products. Does Teksavers sell counterfeit hardware? Counterfeit products are a big problem and can affect you the customer and the hardware reseller. Original equipment manufacturers through their distributors can also be at risk of handling counterfeit hardware. Teksavers has a no-nonsense zero-tolerance policy regarding counterfeit products. Teksavers has developed an anti-counterfeit system utilizing years of experience and know-how allowing us to spot counterfeit before it makes it into your inventory. Teksavers guarantees that all products sold are OEM originals.
How much can I expect to save when buying Used vs New? When comparing our products to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), you will find that our products are exactly the same products but our prices are significantly less; in fact, up to 90% less. If you are like most of our loyal customers, you are less concerned with the OEM's revenue protection plan and more with cost savings.
Can you describe the Teksavers re-certification process? Teksavers understands how important all of our customers are and as such we have invested heavily to ensure that all hardware sold by Teksavers goes through a rigorous testing regimen. Performed by industry professionals and engineers, our process is designed to to identify any hardware failure before it is marked ready to ship and delivered to you, our customer.
Can Teksavers ship on the same day I place my order? Unlike OEM's, Teksavers does not rely on production schedules. Teksavers maintains large inventories of new and legacy type hardware. This allows us to ship at a moment's notice. If we don't have it, we will do our best to locate what you need from our ever growing list of customers with excess gear or from other hardware providers. If you need it to ship today, we pledge to make every attempt at every company level to meet your needs.
How does the Teksavers 24 Hour Replacement Warranty work? The Teksavers 24 Hour Hardware Replacement warranty, which is included on all used networking hardware (excludes PCs and laptops), ensures that in the event of a product failure, a product replacement will be sent to you within 24-hours of you notifying Teksavers of the failure. It is important to understand that this policy is for equipment that is in our inventory only. If we do not have the product in our inventory we will do everything possible to get a product sourced from a 3rd party and delivered to you as soon as possible.
Does Teksavers sell legacy or "hard to find" products? Teksavers provides not only the latest products available from the OEM, but also legacy products. Many of our loyal customers find value in legacy equipment long after the OEM refuses to support them. They are sold, bought back and resold until their useful life is completely exhausted. We strongly believe that it should be our collective goal to re-use equipment to keep it out of landfills.
Why doesn't Teksavers post prices on all of their products? Teksavers does not post fixed pricing on some products simply because we believe that our customers should benefit from price changes that happen on a daily and sometimes hourly basis. Used products are not like new products whose price seldom changes. Used products are like stocks, constantly moving up and down due to supply & demand. We have found over time that by having our customers request a price quote online, we can better help them to make a wise purchasing decision.

Can you describe your Pre-Installation service? Teksavers offers a pre-installation service as an option on most of it's computers/laptops. If you choose this option, Teksavers will pre-install the operating system (OS) utilizing the orginal restore CDs that are also included with this service. The pre-installation service ensures that you receive your computer ready to use with all drivers (read more about drivers on the support link above) installed and functional. If you choose to install the OS yourself, the process can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on your level of experience. We always recommend that you choose this service as it will save you time and energy better spent enjoying your computer.
How do I know if a computer includes an operating system? Some computers include a COA (Certificate of Authenticity). If the computer includes a COA and we have the Restore CDs for that particular model in stock, we will add it to the description online.

To order restore CDs (when applicable), make sure to include it on your order while configuring options for your computer. Additionally, if you would like us to install the operating system for you (for a nominal fee), choose "CD & PreInstalled".
What can I expect when buying a used computer or laptop? It's natural to be nervous about ordering any used product. We'd like to put you at ease. Teksavers used computers and laptops are rigorously tested and certified to be in good working condition by well-trained industry professionals. A very large percentage of the computers we sell are "off-lease" or "corporate refresh" units. These units have been used in corporate office environments. As with any used product, you can expect signs of use, such as scratches & visual blemishes. Our computers and laptops are guaranteed and have a 30 day no-hassle return policy aong with a 6 Month limited product warranty. Please view our return policy / warranty policy for more information.
What should I expect to receive with my computer/laptop purchase? When you receive our package, you will find your computer or laptop neatly and safely packaged for protection during shipment. Also included are the following:
- Power Cord - 1 ea. per Computer
- AC Power Adapter - 1 ea. per Laptop
- Original Operating System Restore CDs (if applicable) - Only when ordered.
Do you offer technical support for PC or Laptop purchases? During the first 6 months of warranty our tech support staff is available to you M-F 9-5PM Central Time. Support is e-mail based and is limited to hardware issues only. Software questions will not be supported due to their complexity. This policy is enforced without exception as it enables us to keep prices low for our customers.
